Let the plastic firm slightly, close, clamp and slowly inject your top color as normal. For a super realistic feel use a medium-soft plastic and then quickly dip just the body in a hard plastic. So what's the difference? The claws are wider providing more surface area, creating a greater flap and water displacement. We also made them thinner and removed the rib closest to the body to increase the movement of the entire claw.

While it's specifically designed to catch tournament quality Crappie, it does a great job on Bass as well. During testing we used it on a small jig head, Texas rigged with a split shot and drop shot and caught Black Bass, Sand Bass and White Bass as well.

Bottom line, it looks like a minnow and has great minnow like action. The Carrot should produce all types of fish that forage on small bait fish. Consider the Carrot as a go to bait if you just want to catch fish.

The 4.5" tube makes an awesome bait, every time. The spline fits like a glove and there is no flashing. Add a touch of softener or worm oil to the insert and it slides right off. The head is smooth for easy dipping and the body has a very small scallop.

If you have one of our molds that already has a skirt (uses a spline - the part that makes the tail) you do not need to buy another one if you don't mind swapping out the tips.
